Peggy Jean (Stiritz) Kohlbaker went to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 95 years old while on Hospice at her son's house. She was born to Vernard and Anna (Albers) Stiritz of Godfrey, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Bernard and two sisters, Gladys Stiritz and Hortense White, her husband, Rev. Charles Edward Kohlbaker, grandson Jacob Wilkerson and a great great granddaughter Josephine (Josie) McGuire.

With her first marriage to Charles Gaber, she was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Charleen & (Ed) Meiser and Judy Rynders.

After their divorce, she married Charles Edward Kohlbaker in 1962 and she was blessed with a son Michael & (Marty) Kohlbaker and a beautiful daughter Melissa & (Keith) Coots.

Peggy was a proud Grandmother to Todd & (Brenda) Meiser, Tommy & (Melissa) Meiser, Stacey Rynders, Craig Rynders, Nathan & (Claire) Rynders, Alex Rynders, Ashley Kohlbaker, Mikey Kohlbaker, Jason & (Brittany) Kohlbaker, Elizabeth & (Joseph) Tafoya, Joshua & (Eva) Kohlbaker, Dalton Coots & (Abby Faire); also, 22 great grandchildren with one due in October of this year and one great great grandchild due in January 2026.

As a young girl, she was saved and served the Lord. As a Pastor's wife she enjoyed being a part of many church families over the years. She was an avid lover of games. She loved Yahtzee, Nerts, Spades, and Pinochle. She also had a wonderful imagination to create new words to win Scrabble. She loved to dance when she was younger as well.

Peggy will be missed by her big family and many friends.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 21, 2025, at Lighthouse Church, 18555 Lighthouse Drive, Dexter, MO.

Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
