Perry Lynn Holt, 72, passed away on January 9, 2026, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO.
Born May 22, 1953, to Travis and Patricia Gail Botkin Holt. In 1980, Perry married the love of his life, Kelley Jo Hill. Together the they raised two sons, Andy Holt and Benjamin Tyler (Gloria) Holt. Perry was a proud grandfather to Oliver, Sullivan, and Vivian Holt, who brought him endless joy.
Perry is survived by his siblings, Melissa (Randy) Eakins, Randy (Cheryl) Holt, Patty (Mark) Jones and Nancy (Dwight) Lee. He was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws, Ira and Velma Hill; his son, Andy; and his sister in law Linda Hill; He also leaves behind beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
A 1971 graduate of Sikeston High School, Perry went on to serve his country in the United States Army as part of the Calvary Division for three years. After his military services, he worked at Triangle in Sikeston and later Noranda in New Madrid, MO.
Perry was known for his love of gathering with friends and family. He always had a joke, a story or a laugh ready to share. He enjoyed hiking, camping, and exploring history-interests that reflected his curiosity and appreciation for the world around him. Perry attended Concordia Lutheran Church in Sikeston. His faith was an important part of his life.
Perry will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and deep love he held for his family and friends. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 15, 2026, at the Concordia Lutheran Church in Sikeston. Matthew Berry, pastor, will officiate.
Interment with full military honors will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.
Pallbearers will be Tom Smith, John Gibbs, David Dillender, Austin Maxwell, Fred Cauthorn and Trey Baxter.
