Pete Bone

Wilbur Dean "Pete" Bone, 80, a resident of Charleston, died Thursday, July 30, 2020, at the Charleston Manor Nursing Home.

Born September 29, 1939, in Mississippi County, MO, to the late Everett Bone Sr., and Patty Mae Glass Bone, he had lived in Mississippi County his entire life where he was engaged in farming until his retirement in 1995. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Charleston, and a long-time member of the Sikeston Elks Club.

He was married to Carolyn Dianne Robinson who preceded him in death.

Surviving are his brother, Bud Bone; and his sisters, Mary Bone, Grace Blaylock and Linda Vogt; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Everett Wayne Bone, Jr.

There is no visitation.


Family and friends may assemble at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 31, 2020, at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Charleston. Rev. George Nite, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Charleston, will officiate.

Interment will follow under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

Pallbearers will be: Carl Bone, Josh Thompson, Randy Thompson, Leslie Collier, Alan Dale Duenne and Darrell Ray.
