Charles Forrest Henry (known as Pete) age 85, of East Prairie passed away peacefully on March 30th, 2025 in Valley Park, Missouri.

He was born January 12, 1940, in Dorena, Missouri to Charlie Forrest Henry and Darling Rachel Henry (nee Masterson).  He had a younger sister, Darlene, who was married to Lawrence Black.

Pete married Carolyn Jo Pool of East Prairie in December, 1959.  They had four children Marcia Lynn married to Gary Dunn, Deborah Kay Henry, Steven Forrest Henry and Marcus Landon Marcus Henry.  He has two Grandchildren Graham Neil Dunn and Chelsea Lynn Dunn and one Great-Granddaughter, London Marie Dunn

Pete is survived by his daughter Marcia. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, brother-in-law, wife and children Deborah, Steven and Marcus.

Pete was a welder and an over-the-road truck driver for most of his life.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.  In retirement he and Carolyn enjoyed bow-hunting and gardening together.

Pete was a devoted Christian who attended various Baptist churches throughout his life.

A family visitation will be held at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston followed by a private graveside service at Dogwood Cemetery.  Martin Lucas will officiate.

Interment will follow under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.
