Phil Morgan

Phillip Wayne "Phil" Morgan, age 70, formerly of Charleston, MO, passed away peacefully early Saturday, June 28, 2025, at his home in Sikeston, MO.

Born January 15, 1955, at Wyatt, MO, to Billy Joe "Joe" Morgan and Faye Sims Morgan, Phil grew up in Charleston and attended Charleston Schools.    Beginning at the age of 17, Phil followed his father in the family trucking business and would make it a lifetime career.  In that amount of time Phil remained accident free.  For a number of years, he was a member of the Sikeston Jaycees.

Surviving is his mother, Faye Morgan; his beloved daughter, Sarah (Jason) Miller; his beloved son, Taylor Morgan; grandchildren, Jace Miller and Colt Miller; as well as a number of cousins.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Joe Morgan and Terry Ray Morgan; and his grandparents, O.L. and Sephia Dale Sims and Burt and Lucy Boley Morgan.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.  Rev. Buddy Walls will officiate.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.

Pallbearers will be Jason Miller, Jace Miller, Colt Miller, Taylor Morgan, Allen Towe, Hubert "Junior" DeLay, Jeff Hall, Jr., Rick Simmering and Phil Tidwell.
