Raymond Lee Graham, 78, died at his home in Sikeston Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013. He was born March 9, 1935 near Parma to the late Harvey Delbert and Mary Ellen (Sanders) Graham. He retired from the U.S. Marine Corps in 1973 after 20 years of service and attained the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. He later worked as a mechanic at a bacon processing plant in Holly Ridge, N.C. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the American Legion Henry Meldrum Post. On Oct. 31, 1956 he was married to Velma Louise Harris in New Madrid County and she survives of the home. Also surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Tom & Angie Graham of Sikeston and Anthony Graham of the home; one daughter, Donna Hale of Fredericktown; and one grandson, Adam Graham, who was raised in the home; 6 other grandchildren also survive; and 2 sisters, Jeanette Graham of Texas and Faye Graham of Arizona also survive. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Chery Diane Snyder in 1986 and by one son, Bobby Lee Graham, Feb. 9, 2013. Memorial services will be at 5:00 PM Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013 at First General Baptist church of Morehouse with Rev. Randy Thomas, the pastor officiating. Blanchard Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
