RICHARD MERRELL BURTON, 56, of Sikeston, died Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at the home of his sister near Sikeston.

Born December 3, 1963, at Sikeston, to Barbara Jean McClellan Burton and the late Alfred Merrell Burton, he was a 1983 graduate of Sikeston High School and had been employed with Plaza Tire a number of years.

In addition to his mother, surviving is son, Clinton David Burton of Sikeston; his brother, David (Veneca) Burton of Cape Girardeau; his sister, Shelia (Rusty) Greer of Sikeston; his grandchildren, Courtney, Caden and Renegade; also, several nieces and nephews.

Besides his father, one brother, Charles Lawrence (Chuck) Burton, preceded him in death.

Private services will be held.

McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
