Richard Lee Crawford, Sr., age 81, of Charleston, MO, passed away peacefully, Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston, MO.
Born June 21, 1944, in the Deventer Community of rural Mississippi County, MO, to the late Guy Thomas Crawford and Bernita Key Crawford, Richard was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, who was known for his kindness, humor and unwavering support for those he loved. Richard lived in Mississippi County his entire life and grew up farming with his father until his father's passing. Richard later established his own family farming operation where he continued to work until his retirement in 2016.
Besides farming and spending time with his family, Richard enjoyed fishing, country riding, and he loved to watch westerns on TV.
On July 15, 1961, he married Patricia Ann McCann, who preceded him in death on March 15, 2019.
Surviving are two sons, Richard (Susan) Crawford, Jr., of Paragould, AR and Rodney (Kristy) Crawford of Charleston, MO; three grandsons, Dawson, Houston and Gavin; two sisters, Diann Zoellner and Lou Goodall both of Cape Girardeau, MO; also, a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Crawford of Charleston, MO, and his sister, Blanche Presson of St. Louis, MO.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 12:00 p.m. (Noon), Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. Mike McKinney, pastor of the Southside Baptist Church in Charleston, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.
Pallbearers will be Dawson Crawford, Houston Crawford, Gavin Crawford, Greg Crawford, John Crawford and Grant Crawford.
