RICHARD R. MORROW, age 74, a resident of Benton, died Monday, December 27, 2010, at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born on September 19, 1936 in Red Bay, AL to the late Richard H. and Mattie Pearl Strickland Morrow. He had lived in Scott County most of his life, was baptized at the New Savannah Baptist Church in Blodgett and was a member of the Old Bethel Baptist Church in Sikeston. He had worked at Atlas Plastics and later at Schnucks until his retirement.
On February 19, 1965 he married Connie Sue New who survives of Benton.
Also surviving are three sons and daughters in law, Kevin and Teresa Morrow of Batesville, AR, Paul and Tammy Morrow of Benton, and Tim and Tammy Morrow of Sikeston; seven grandchildren, Ryan Morrow and Alan Michael Morrow both of Batesville, AR, Kyle Morrow and Cody Morrow both of Benton, Destinee Hendershott, Cierra Morrow, and Mikayla Morrow all of Sikeston; five brothers, Grover Morrow of Diehlstadt, Mike Morrow, Danny Morrow, and Roger Morrow all of Wappapello, and Ottis Morrow of Benton; five sisters, Debbie Hornback of Sikeston, Bonnie Romanowski of Dexter, Theresa jones of Morley, Ritta Belt of Sikeston, and Donna Sevic of Sikeston.
In addition to his parents, one son, Jonathan H. Morrow, and one brother, Garland Morrow, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 30, 2010. Bro. Steve Vester, Pastor of Old Bethel Baptist Church in Sikeston, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jim New, Gary Hendrix, Mike Vanhouten, Tim Arnold, Scott Lambert,and Eric Lambert.
