RITA LOUISE BENTLEY, Age 61, a resident of Anniston, died Sunday, August 23, 2015, at the SSM St. Clare Health Center in Fenton, MO.

Born September 9, 1953, at Anniston, MO, to the Mary Frances McAfee Bentley who survives of Anniston and the late Herbert Elmo Bentley, she had lived in Anniston area her entire life and was a graduate of Charleston High School, she then graduated from the Southeast Missouri State University at Cape Girardeau with an education degree with emphasis in Home Economics and Elementary Education. As one who loved children, she was employed as a Kindergarten Teacher with the East Prairie School District from 1977 to 1999. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Charleston.

Surviving besides her mother are one brother and sister in law, John and Wilma Bentley of Hindman, KY and one sister and brother in law, Leora and Bob Chapman of Arnold; nieces and nephews, Chris Chapman, Jeffrey Chapman, Leigh Chapman, Izabella Taylor and Izaeyah Dotson; also a number of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 27, 2015, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 28, 2015. Her uncle, Raymond McAfee, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Anniston Cemetery under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
