Robert Nelson Baber

Robert Nelson “Bobby” Baber, age 69, of Charleston, MO, formerly of Memphis, TN, died Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Aspire Nursing Center in East Prairie, MO.

Born May 21, 1957, in Memphis, TN, to the late Bernard L. Baber and Dora Marie Wright Baber, he had lived in Memphis, TN most of his life and attended Wooddale High School. Bobby had been employed with the Memphis Police Department as a laboratory associate and homicide photographer. He had lived in Charleston, MO the last several years where he was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Surviving is his sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Mike Patterson; his sister-in-law, Terry Roach Baber; several nieces and nephews, and his beloved church family at First Baptist Church in Charleston, MO.

In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Leon Baber.

Bobby will be entombed next to his mother in the mausoleum of Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m, Thursday, October 1, 2026, at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, MO, with his pastor and friend, the Rev. Milton Harrington, pastor of First Baptist Church of Charleston Mo., officiating.
