ROBERT GENE BADGLEY, age 75, a resident of Charleston died at 5:18 p.m. Thursday, August 20, 2009, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born January 17, 1934 in Grand Chain, IL to the late Delbert and Edna Fox Badgley. He attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, and was a graduate of the National Chiropractic College in Chicago, IL. He was employed in Pharmaceutical Sales, first in the Chicago, IL area until 1978 and then in Memphis, TN until his retirement. In 2005 he left Memphis, TN and moved to Charleston. He attended the Christian Tabernacle Church in Sikeston and had been a member of the Masonic Lodge in Cairo, IL. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the V.F.W.
On September 4, 1959 he married Anna Sevic who survives of the home.
Surviving are one son and daughter in law, Todd and Melanie Badgley of Memphis,TN; one daughter and son in law, Brett Badgley and Carey Snodgrass of Olive Branch, MS; six grandchildren, Ryan Badgley, Logan Badgley, Braedan Badgley, and Peyton Badgley, all of Memphis, TN, Lauren Snodgrass and Raegan Snodgrass of Olive Branch, MS; also several cousins.
Friends may call after 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2009, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, with Rev. E.J. McDougall, pastor of the Christian Tabernacle Church in Sikeston, officiating.
Interment will be on Monday, August 24, 2009, in the Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
