Robert Lee "Buckwheat" Farquhar, age 67,  of East Prairie, died Monday, September 27, 2021 at Cotton Point Nursing Center at Matthews, MO.

He was born September 23, 1954, at East Prairie, MO to the late Merrell R. Farquhar and Lynn Edith Cox Farquhar.  Robert had lived in East Prairie most of his life and had worked as a mechanic and truck driver.

He is survived by a son, a daughter and four grandchildren.  Also surviving are his brother, Frank Farquhar of East Prairie and his sister, Lillie Lewis of Cordova, TN; also, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William Cox Farquhar and Richard F. Farquhar and his sisters, Betty Joyce Heck and Helen Marie Farquhar.

Family and friends may assemble at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 30, 2021, at the Dogwood Cemetery for graveside services. Martin Lucas will officiate.

Interment will follow under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.
