Robert Leslie Grigery

Robert Leslie "Les" Grigery, age 87, of Sikeston, died Saturday, August 9, 2025, at The Arbors in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Born August 30, 1937, at East Prairie, MO, to the late Sylvester V. Grigery and Maggie Mae Parr Grigery, he had lived in Sikeston since 1971. He retired from the Job Corps after many years as a painting and drywall instructor and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades Union.  A Christian man, he was of United Pentecostal belief.

On April 10, 1955, he married Louetta Presson, who preceded him in death on April 23, 2020.

Surviving is his son, Timothy Shain (Penny) Grigery; his daughter, Christy Michelle (Michael) Haney; his grandchildren, Timothy Dale Grigery, Chelsea Nichol Grigery, Shaina Lynn Cooper, Tiffany Brooke Ryan and Nathan McKenzie Haney; five great grandchildren; also, a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Leslie Aaron Grigery; his twin brother, Charles Wesley Grigery and his sisters and brother, Shirley Duffie, Leroy Grigery, Lucille Foust, Sylvia Oliver, Thelma Grigery and Kathryn Miller.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston. Randy Burns, pastor of Smith Avenue Church of God in Sikeston, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be Timothy Dale Grigery, Cord Cooper, Eric Grigery, Matt Walfer, Nathan Haney and Michael Haney.
