Robert Lee Hayden, Jr., 92, of Campbell, MO, died Friday, January 31, 2020, at the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, AR.

Bob was born April 4, 1927, in the Deventer Community of Mississippi County, MO, to the late Robert Lee Hayden, Sr. and Minnie Pearl Sullivan Hayden. Following his graduation from Diehlstadt High School, Bob enlisted in the United States Army and was the recipient of a Purple Heart. Bob then returned to Charleston where he farmed. In 1956, Bob and his family moved to Painesville, OH, where he was employed with the Addressagraph-Multigraph Company for 27 years. In 1993, Bob returned to Southeast Missouri and he and his wife made their home in Campbell.

On September 19, 1953, Bob married Ruthie Marie Comstock, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are his sons, Ronnie (Mary Ann) Hayden of Painesville, OH; Roger (Janet) Hayden of Memphis, TN and his daughter, Lisa (Bill) Burke of Rector, AR; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by one son, Gary Hayden; five brothers and four sisters.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at Noon, Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. Dean Wallace of Charleston, will officiate.

Interment with full military honors will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
