IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert Page
Hopper
November 9, 1954 – September 15, 2025
Robert Page Hopper, age 70, passed away Monday, September 15, 2025, at his home in Sikeston.
Born November 9, 1954, at Charleston, MO, to the late Robert Kelly Hopper and Margaret Pullen Hopper, known as Robert AKA ET Bob Hopper and Big Bob. A skilled mechanic, he worked at REBS Transmission for over 20 years and never met a stranger. He enjoyed spending his free time at the American Legion in Sikeston, reminiscing old times and having a few with his buddies. If he wasn't at the Legion, often times you could find him enjoying the outdoors at his camper, hanging out with his animals, or watching his favorite shows on television. Big Bob was an avid Steelers fan and loved Sunday football. Most of all he loved his kids, grandkids and great grandkids.
Big Bob always had a joke to tell and could be witty just at the right time. May we always try to find the light and tell a joke just like he did, even in the darkest of times. His humor could light up a room.
Robert is survived by his son, Bobby "Lil Bob" Hopper of Sikeston; his daughter, Lisa (Josh) Eftink of Charleston; nine grandchildren, Robbie (Madison) Hopper, Brandon (Shelbie) Hopper, Katelyn (Jakob) Pulliam, Rylan Simmons, Lilly Eftink, Isaiah Eftink, Isabella Eftink, Jocelyn Eftink and Rylee Eftink; great grandchildren, Aubree Hopper, Reagan Hopper, Nash Hopper, Rowen Pulliam and Acelynn Hopper; also, a several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Hopper, his brothers, Eddie Murphy and Danny Hopper and his sister, Sandra Pruden.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life, Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the American Legion in Sikeston, MO, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
