Robert Earl Laminack, 62, of Sikeston, died Tuesday, June 27 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born November 9, 1954 in Dexter to the late Gordon Edward and Mary Sue (Kitchen) Laminack. Originally from the Morehouse area, he had attended the First Oneness Pentecostal Church. He had been an oil field worker in Oklahoma, then a welder and steel fabricator at Al Stevens Steel in Overland Park, Kansas and later was a machine operator at Gold Bond Ice Cream in Sikeston. Survivors include his companion for many years, Cathy Blankinship of the home; 1 son, Robert Mitchell Laminack of Kingsland, Texas; 3 brothers, Russell Edward Laminack of Morehouse, Roger Dale Laminack of Doniphan and Danny Lee Laminack of Bell City; 3 sisters, Audrey Cheryl Shaw of Sikeston,, Paula Darlene McArthur of Miner and Darla Jane Laminack of Morehouse. Robert was an avid fisherman and dog lover, and leaves behind his precious "Little Bit". Visitation will be at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston Saturday, July 1, from 11:00 am until time for services at 1:00 pm. Rev. Scott Sutton, pastor of New Life Ministries at New Madrid will officiate and burial will follow at the Essex Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Laminack, Zachary Laminack, Joel Wayne Sutton, Jr., Levi Curry, Brian Curry and Kevin Sutton. Honorary pallbearers will be Dustin Bone and Bill McIntyre.
