Obituary

ROBERT MATHEWS NOLEN, Age 61, died Sunday, September 21, 2014, at his home in Wyatt, MO.

Born July 21, 1953, in the Crosno Community of Mississippi County, MO, to the late William Henry and Anna Pauline Dyer Nolen, he had lived in Wyatt most of his life and had attended Charleston High School where he was a ribbon winning member of the wrestling team. He had been employed as a welder and in construction having lived in Florida 7 years before returning to Wyatt when he became ill. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran.

On September 10, 1982, he married Jackie Denise Haynes, who survives of the home in Wyatt.

Also surviving are one daughter and son in law, Bobbi Sue and Brian Holtmeyer of Washington, MO; two brothers, Frank Nolen of Monroe, LA and Thomas Nolen of Charleston; five sisters, Mary Marascalo and Susan Bunton both of New Orleans, LA; Fay Groves of McKenzie, TN; Leah Ann Poindexter of Otisco, IN and Cora Nolen of Wyatt; two grandchildren, Angelique Davis and Zoe Davis both of Washington, MO.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Howard Nolen, Edward Nolen, Jesse Ray Nolen, Jesse Wilburn Nolen, James Wilburn Nolen and John Nolen; one sister, Lola Bright and one nephew, Jerry Dale Nolen.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time for the memorial services at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the McMikle Funeral Home. His daughter, Bobbi Sue Holtmeyer, will deliver the eulogy.

Missouri Military Honors will provide full military rites at the funeral home.

Private burial will follow at a later date.
