Rocky Bruce Walker, age 72, died Saturday, April 6, 2024, at his home in rural Charleston.

Born April 16, 1951, at Sikeston, MO, to the late Alferd LeRoy Walker and Winona Evonne McAdoo Walker, he had lived in Mississippi County his entire life. Rocky was engaged in farming his entire life, as well as being employed with the MFA Oil Company until his retirement. He was an active member of the Southside Baptist Church in Charleston where he served as song leader for 44 years.

On July 15, 1968, he married Linda Susan Perry, who survives of the home. Together they enjoyed horse-back riding, camping and motorcycle riding. Most of all, they enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whether it was watching one of their sporting events or just playing with them in the backyard.

Also surviving is his daughter, Christie Rochelle (Kirk) Mueller of Jackson; his son, Rocky Bruce (Jami) Walker II, of Charleston; his grandchildren, Natalie Renee (Austin) Miller, Rocky Bruce (Alexis) Walker III, Brianna Sue (Mitchell) Kramer, Maegan Pierce (Josh) Thibodeaux and Makayla Brooke Mueller; great grandchildren, Rocky Bruce "RB" Walker IV, Lindsey Mae Walker, Maddox Tate Miller and Aviana Natasha Walker; also his sisters, Donna Eaker, Robin Farrell and Patty Walker along with a niece, several nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the funeral hour at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at the Southside Baptist Church in Charleston.  Mike McKinney, pastor of the Southside Baptist Church of Charleston, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.

The pallbearers will be Rocky Walker III, Josh Thibodeaux, Austin Miller, Mitchell Kramer, Kirk Mueller and Danny McKinney.
