Obituary

Roger Dale Lindsey, age 72, of Sikeston, MO, died Friday, September 5, 2025, surrounded by his family at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Roger was born January 22, 1953, at Sevierville, TN, to the late Robert James Lindsey and Ethel Grant Lindsey. For a number of years, he was employed with Steward Steel as a steel fabricator and later with FED EX until his retirement.   Active in his community, he was a former board member of the Kenny Rogers Children's Center, a member and past state president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and was of Baptist belief.

Roger was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who loved spending time with his family.

On May 22, 1982, he married Tanya Ann Forrest, and she survives of the home.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his sons, Ryan (Heather) Lindsey and Justin (Abbi) Lindsey all of Sikeston; his grandchildren, Brooks Lindsey, Sophia Lindsey and Frazier Lindsey; one brother, Gary (Karen) Lindsey of Sikeston, MO; two sisters in law, Linda Lindsey of Sevierville, TN and Timandra Lindsey of Maryville, TN; his brothers in law, Paul Forrest of Paris, TN; Jon (Kathy) Forrest; sister in law, Shannan (Roy) Morton, and sister in law, Dena Merick all of Sikeston; also, a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his brothers, Max Daniel Lindsey and Larry Lindsey; sister in law Kristi Ryan and brother in law, Tom Merick.

The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
