ROGER DALE PENDERGRASS, age 71, died Thursday, May 30, 2019, at his home in Bertrand, MO.

Born August 27, 1947, at Pocahontas, AR, to the late Jessie R. Pendergrass and Myrtle G. Hambrick Pendergrass, he had lived in Bertrand a number of years where was a member of the The Church of God and had served as the pastor for over 12 years. He was owner and operator of R&B Trucking for 14 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in Vietnam in 1967 and 1968.

On November 22, 1969, he married Brenda Kay Terrell, and she survives of the home.

Also surviving are his son, Jefferey D. Pendergrass of Bertrand; his daughter, Jennifer Pendergrass Liepe and her husband Robert Liepe of Jonesboro, AR; five grandchildren, Chase Laster, Blake Pendergrass, Sara Liepe, Alexis Pendergrass and Emyleigh Pendergrass; four great grandchildren; his brother, Jerry R. Pendergrass of Charleston; his sister, Brenda Spencer, of Tulsa, OK; also a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 1, 2019, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. Dewayne Smith of Pocahontas, AR and Robert Liepe, will officiate.

Interment with full military honors will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: Donald Byars, Kevin Terrell, Bruce Hall, Donald Faught, Robert Liepe and Lawrence Brashear.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Roy Taylor, Larry Shands, Cletus Tanner, Harlen Terrell and Richard O'Neal.
