Obituary

RONALD DEAN BEASLEY, age 52, passed away Friday, December 13, 2013, at his residence in Bertrand.

He was born July 5, 1961, in Sikeston to the late Jerry C. and Joyce Jobe Beasley. He had lived in Bertrand most of his life, where he was a member of the Cornerstone Church. At a young age, he developed a love of motorcycles, a hobby that earned him numerous trophies and awards as a motocross racer. In 1979, he enlisted in the Missouri National Guard and served until 1984. He was employed by the Brown Shoe Co. in Charleston from 1980 until 1987. He worked many years as a carpenter alongside his father, brother, uncles, and cousins. In 2004, he was forced to retire because of declining health.


On April 2, 1983 he married Anita Byrd who survives of the home.

Also surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Derrick Pullen of Sikeston; one brother and sister-in-law, Chad and Cammie Beasley of Mayfield, KY; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Becky and Terry Shaver of Bertrand and Teresa and Mike O'Guin of Millersville; and the loves of his life: his grandchildren, Makenzie Kate Pullen and Marshall Dean Pullen.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one niece, Jennifer Lynn Williams.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, December 16, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. David Cullen, pastor of the Cornerstone Church in Bertrand, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mike Jobe, Dennis Jobe, Craig Karnes, Stanley Byrd, Todd Vanover, and Neil Custer, Tyler Karnes, Stephen Hicks, Danny Freeland, and Dave Ruedrich.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Kenny Rogers Children's Center in honor of his grandson and "best friend", Marshall Pullen, who receives therapy services at the center.
