Ronald Dean Ward, Sr., age 61, died Friday, September 30, 2022, at his home in East Prairie.

Born March 5, 1961, at Covina, CA, to Clinton Arthur Ward and Imogene Dodge Ward, he had lived in East Prairie most of his life.  Ron was employed with Steward Steel in Sikeston until ill health forced his retirement.  He loved to hunt and fish.  Ron was of Methodist belief.

On May 31, 1997, he married Tammy Ann Morgan, who survives of the home.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his children, Brittany (Justin Jackson) Ward and Ronald Ward, Jr.; grandchildren, Dee, J.J. and Ronald Ward, III; his brother, Robert (Christine) Ward; his mother in law, Margaret McKinney and his brother in law, Dr. Tim Morgan; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Ward and his sister, Denise Trusty.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 6, 2022, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
