RONNIE RAY CHAPPELL, Age 77, a resident of Charleston, died Thursday, March 19, 2015, at the Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born April 12, 1937, in Arkansas, to the late Russell and Luddie Cook Chappell, he and his wife moved to Charleston in 2001 to be close to family. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.

On March 15, 1961, at Kennett, MO, he married Doris McIlroy, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are four sons, Kevin Chappell of Arizona; Keith Chappell of Oregon; Kenny Chappell of Michigan and Kerry Chappell of Wyoming; one daughter, Kim (Barry) Lessley of Alabama; one brother, Buddy Chappell of Malden, MO; one sister, Mary Jean Cody of Clarksville, TN; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.

Memorial Services will be conducted at a later date.
