Rosalinda Perez Scott, 66, a longtime resident of Sikeston, died Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Miner Nursing Center.  She was born April 14, 1951 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Jesus R. and Delores (Escalante) Perez; following the death of her mother she was raised by her step-mother, Teresa Garces Perez.  A resident of this area for the past 33 years, she was a member of Church on the Rock and had worked in the laundry department at Sikeston Convalescent Center.  Survivors include 3 sons and daughter-in-laws:  Robert & Maria Garces of Sikeston, Jesus "Javi" & Brandy Gonzalez of Sikeston and Mauro & Christi Gonzalez of Oran;  3 daughters & sons-in-law:  Guadalupe & Mario Flores, Jessica & Marcos Flores and Amanda & J.Merced Lara all of Sikeston; two brothers, Lee Perez of Dickinson, Texas and Jessie Perez, Jr. of San Benito, Texas and 5 sisters, Virginia Rosales of Silver City, New Mexico, Ana Davila of Houston, Texas, Delores Garcia  of San Antonio, Texas and Olivia Perez and Elvira Perez both of San Benito, Texas.  Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.  She was preceded in death by 2 sons, 3 brothers and 1 sister.  Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 29 at 2:30 pm at Church on the Rock at Morehouse with the pastor, Rev.
