Rose Marie McClendon, age 74, of Charleston, died Monday, August 5, 2024, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born December 8, 1949, at Charleston, MO, to the late Elmer William "Mike" Thurman and Pauline Christina Hart Thurman, she had lived in Charleston her entire life and had attended the St. Henry Catholic Church in her younger years.

On October 14, 1967, she married Lonnie Lee Millner, who preceded her in death.  On August 8, 1994, she married Dickie Leon McClendon, who preceded her in death on July 15, 1999.

Surviving is her son, William (Todd Nolen) Millner of Dexter; her sisters, Martha Thurman Humphrey of East Prairie and Gail Thurman Faire of Charleston; also, a number of nieces, nephews and cousins, survive.

In addition to her two husbands and her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Lonnie Lee Millner, Jr.; her infant daughter, Laura Lee Millner; her brothers, Dennis Thurman, William Thurman, Joseph Thurman and John Henry Thurman and her sisters, Mildred Thurman, Delores Hawkins, Paula Meeks, Mary Lou Vinson and Maxine Geers.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 9, 2024, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.  Father David Dohogne, pastor of St. Henry Catholic Church, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
