ROY DOUGLAS FLETCHER, Age 84, died Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at his home in Charleston.
Born February 16, 1929, in Mississippi County, MO, to the late Armer Templeton and Winifred Lane Fletcher, he had lived in Mississippi County his entire life and had been employed with the Missouri Highway Department (MoDot) for 37 years until his retirement. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Charleston, the Charleston Masonic Lodge #407 AF & AM and a lifetime member of the V.F.W. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Surviving are: one brother, Armer T. Fletcher, Jr. of Rincon, GA; one step daughter, LaQuita Parker of Bertrand; four step grandchildren, Joseph (Crystal) Crenshaw of Colorado Springs, CO; Tina (Jimmy) Withrow of Sikeston, Tony Parker of Bertrand and Holly Parker of Bertrand; three step great grandchildren, Brent Crenshaw of Edwardsville, IL, Ashley Withrow of Sikeston and Kelsey Redferring of East Prairie.
One stepson, Richard V. Crenshaw, preceded him in death.
Family and friends may assemble at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2013 for graveside rites at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO. Masonic Rites will be followed by Military Honors conducted by the Missouri Military Honors Program and the United States Army.
Interment will follow under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
