FAIRFIELD, Iowa — Ruby Jane King, 80, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died Aug. 17, 2009, at Jefferson County Health Center.
Born in Jan. 20, 1929, in Charleston, Mo., daughter of the late James Edward and Ruby Golightly Arnold, was employed as an LPN at Jefferson County Hospital.
In 1953, she married Lyman Harris and they were later divorced. She married B.F. King in 1976, who preceded her in death in January 2000.
Also preceding her in death were three siblings: Ruth Ann Ferris, Charles Arnold and James E. Arnold, Jr.
Survivors include: three daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy and Thomas Buttry of Sikeston, Janie and Mike Venticher of Jamaica, Iowa and Lorie and Randy Farmer of Fairfield; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Tom and Merian Harris, John Harris, Sonny and Sue Harris of Fairfield and Jeff Harris of Pleasant Plain; two sisters Betty Bechthore and Mary Bank; one brother, Bob Arnold; and 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at McMikle's Funeral until time of services at 2 p.m.
Burial will be the IOOF Cemetery.
