Ruby Nell Riddle, 86, formerly of Sikeston, died at her home in Mulberry, Florida Tuesday, October 10, 2017. She was born March 30, 1931 in Blytheville, Arkansas to the late Charley Henry and Mallie (Kindle) Middleton. She was a graduate of Grayridge Schools and was a retired clerical administrator with Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. She was married Aug. 2, 1953 to Kenneth L. Riddle, Sr. in Hernando, Mississippi and he survives of the home. She had resided in Florida the past 10 years, but had lived around Sikeston most of her life. She had previously been a member of Order of Eastern Star, and past Worthy Matron in Sikeston, Illinois Avenue Baptist Church, Temple Baptist Church and New Hope Baptist Church in Sikeston and was a current member of Scott Lake Baptist Church in Lakeland, Fla. In addition to her husband, she is survived by 1 son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth L., Jr. and Joy Riddle of Lakeland, Fla; 2 grandchildren, Kendra LeeAnn (Charles) King of Madison, Alabama and Weston Thomas Riddle of Lakeland; 2 great grandchildren, Charlotte and Connor King of Madison, Al.; and 1 sister, Bonnie Jean Turnage of Grand Blanc, Michigan, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Lynn Riddle on July 31, 1960 and by 2 brothers and 1 sister. Visitation will be at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 5 until 8 pm Sunday. The Funeral will be at 10:30 am Monday, Oct. 16, in the chapel with Rev. Matthew Butrum, pastor of First Baptist Church of Whitewater officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
