Ruth Ann Jeffries, 76, a life long resident of this area, died Jan 30, 2017 at Crowley Ridge Nursing Center in Dexter.  She was born July 20, 1940 near Matthews to the late James D. and Juanita S. (Pruitt) Crawford.  Formerly of Sikeston, she was a housewife and a member of Tanner Street Church of God.  She was married Aug. 31, 1961 to Bill D. Jeffries in Sikeston and he preceded her in death July 11, 1994.  She is survived by one son, Michael Jeffries of Avon, Indiana; one daughter and son-in-law Cindy and Doug Friend; 2 brothers, Danny Crawford of Kennett and George Crawford of Cape Girardeau; 2 sisters, Linda Cole and Juanita Robison both of Sikeston; 6 grandchildren, Brian Standridge, Ali (Andy) Proffer, Tyler Jeffries, Ethan Jeffries, Aly Friend and Zach Friend; and 3 great-grandchildren Lorelei Standridge, Cole and Kai Proffer.  Also surviving are 2 brothers-in-law Terry (Marsha) Jeffries of Grain Valley, MO and Ben (Merlene) Jeffries of Sikeston; and 7 sisters-in-law Bernita Stone of Valmeyer, IL, Shirley Stuckey of Eureka, MO, Joyce Jones of Sikeston, Marilyn (Charlie) Bramlett of Sikeston, Marty (Ron) Payne of Sikeston, Karen (Bob) Williams of Sikeston and Louella Jeffries of S. Louis.  Three brothers and 2 sisters preceded her in death.  Visitation will be at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 11:00 am until time for services at 1:00 pm Friday.  Rev.
