Obituary

RUTH ELLEN PARKER MORGAN, age 79, of East Prairie, died Friday, January 17, 2020, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born November 23, 1940, at Belmont, MO, to the late Walter Ray "Radie" Parker and Gladys Beatrice Henry Parker, she was a 1958 graduate of the Anniston High School and had lived in East Prairie most of her life. For 24 years she was employed with Stark Manufacturing in Charleston and later retired at the age of 70 after working a number of years at Good Humor-Breyers in Sikeston. She had attended the Crowe Methodist Church.

Surviving are her children and their spouses, Carl Arthur "Bubba" and Angela Morgan of East Prairie; Sheila Anne and Alan Collins of East Prairie; Jacqueline Renee and Jeff Baran and Sonia Morgan Quick all of Sikeston; her sister, Rebecca JoAnn "Peggy" Allen of Shelbyville, IN; her grandchildren, Adrienne Henry, Brian Grisby, Joseph Morgan, Lydia Cartwright, Andrew Cartwright, Chase Baran, Amber Chadd and Kara Chadd; her great grandchildren, Will Henry, Isabelle Grigsby, Adelynn Childers, Luke Morgan and Jacob Morgan; also, a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Larry Ray Latamondeer; her grandson, David Morgan; her great granddaughter, Collins Grigsby; her brothers, William Walter Parker, Homer Eugene Parker, Ralph Verlon Parker; and her sisters, Doris Sue Lineberry and Martha Faye "Pat" Busby.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where funeral services will be conducted at noon, Thursday, January 23, 2020. William "Sonny" Jackson, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: Carl "Bubba" Morgan, Joseph Morgan, Alan Collins, Jeff Baran, Brian Grisby and Andrew Cartwright.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Luke Morgan, Jacob Morgan, Eric Henry, Will Henry, Tracy Tripp, Jacob Tripp, Donnie Allen, Joseph Parker and Mike Gibbs.
