Mary "Ruth" Newman, 77, died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2019 at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau.  She was born Nov. 6, 1941 in Steelville, Mo to the late Robert Russell and Lottie May (Isgriggs) Adams.

She had lived in Sikeston since 2001 and was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.  Prior to that she had lived in the St. Charles area and had been a C.N.A. at the Charlevoix Nursing Home.

She is survived by 3 sons:  William R. (Tammy J.) McBenge,, Jr. of O'Fallon, Brian (Kelly) McBenge of Sikeston and Cecil (Sue) McBenge of St.. Louis.  Also surviving are 5 granddaughters and 4 greatgrandchildren.  Several brothers and sisters preceded her in death.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019, at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church at 128 N. 5th Street with Rev.
