Ruth Lavern Terrell, 75, a life long resident of Sikeston, died Saturday March 12, 2016 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born December 2, 1940 in Sikeston to the late Charles and Ora (Raines) Hazel. She was a graduate of Sikeston High School, a member of Illinois Avenue General Baptist Church and had been employed for many years by Sikeston Board of Municipal Utilities. On April 2, 1965 she was married to Paul D. Terrell in Sikeston and he preceded her in death November 1, 1992. She is survived by 2 sisters, Charlene Daniel of Mt. Carmel, Illinois and Lois Cokenour of Sikeston, and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister. Visitation will be at Illinois Avenue General Baptist Church from 11:00 am until time for services at 1:00 pm Tuesday, March 15, 2016. Rev. Johnnie Sliger, the pastor, will officiate and burial will follow at Garden of Memories under the direction of Blanchard Funeral Chapel.
