Sarah Ruth "Ruthie" Culbertson, 70, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, at Sikeston Convalescent Center. She was born May 21, 1945 in Sikeston to the late Leslie and Emma (Hornback) Culbertson. She was a 1963 graduate of Sikeston High School, a member of Calvary Temple Church and had been a cashier at TG&Y, Piggly-Wiggly, Walmart and Save-a-Lot stores in Sikeston. She is survived by a special friend, Sheila Medley of Bertrand, her baby dog, Machaka, and other family and friends. Visitation will be at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 2 until 3 pm, Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016. Funeral service will be in the chapel at 3:00 pm with Ken Johnson, Chaplain with Tri-County Hospice officiating. Burial will follow at Sikeston City Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Don Culbertson, John Culbertson, Terry Brase, Ben Brase, Josh Brase, Shon Stratman and Sheila Medley. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Isenhower and Mike Harwell.
