RUTH MARIE COMSTOCK HAYDEN, age 88, Piggott, AR, formerly of Campbell, MO , died Friday, December 31, 2021, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Born February 12, 1933, at Elizabeth, AR, to the late John Newton Comstock and Rosetta Helms Comstock, Ruth lived in Painesville, Ohio for over 42 years.  Ruth and her husband returned to Southeast Missouri in 1993 to be near family.   For a number of years, Ruth was employed with the Painesville (Lake County) School district and then retired after her employment with the Campbell, MO School district.

On September 19, 1953, Ruth married Robert Lee Hayden, Jr., who preceded her in death January 31, 2020.

Surviving are her children, Ronnie (Mary Ann) Hayden of Painesville, OH; Roger (Janet) Hayden of Memphis, TN and Lisa (Bill) Burke of Rector, AR; two sisters, Louise Smith of Granite City, IL and Exie Chastine of Piggott, AR; 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandhchildren; 1 great great grandchild.

In addition to her husband and parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her son, Gary Hayden, and by several brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 12:00 p.m. (Noon), Wednesday, January 5, 2022 , at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Dean Wallace will officiate.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
