Obituary

Sallyanne Brink Naile was born in Cairo, IL on April 6, 1962, to Charles and Dorothy Anne Goodin Brink and died peacefully September 28, 2018, at her home in Charleston. She is survived by her devoted husband of 33 years, Jerry Don (Flipper) Naile, Jr., and the two sons that she adored with all her heart, Brink Thomas Naile and James Aubrey Naile.

Sallyanne was a lifelong and dedicated Charlestonian. She went to Hearnes Elementary, Charleston Middle and graduated from Charleston High School in 1980. She left briefly to attend Murray State University, returning after graduation in 1984 to begin her adult life in the town she loved so much. She was a lifelong member of Charleston United Methodist Church and, as an adult, a member of the Gen X Sunday School Class. Over the years she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She was currently the Financial Administrator. The United Methodist Church was central in her life.

Sallyanne was a CPA. She was good at it and she was honest. Her everyday job was at SEMO Legal Services, where she worked as Office Manager and Accountant. She had a thriving independent Tax and Financial practice. Throughout her career she was dedicated to volunteerism and helping those in her community. She was a Cub Scout Master, Treasurer of the PEO Chapter CV, Financial Secretary for Senate Bill 40, and a member of Junior Study club. Socially, she could be counted on to be the financial voice of reason serving as treasurer of many showers and social events. She was an avid member of the RLC Bunko club.

Her favorite pastime though, was baseball. She loved all things baseball. From Flipper's days in High School through both her sons playing at Charleston High and on to the professional league.

In addition to her husband and sons, she is also survived by her parents, Charles and Dorothy Anne Brink, sister, Sara Jane Goodman (Frank), brother, Scott Brink (Lachele), nephews and nieces,  Cameron and Edward Goodman, Jettie Kate and Jane Ellen Brink and Jordan McKinley, and great nephew, Owen Charles LeGrand.

Sallyanne was so excited about the upcoming wedding of her son Brink to Ali Cannady. This wedding will be on October 12. She will be loved and missed on this special day.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 1, 2018, at the United Methodist Church in Charleston. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at the church, with the pastor, Rev. J. Robert Webster, officiating.
