Sandra D. Baker

Sandra D. Baker, age 87, of Sikeston, MO, formerly of Paducah, KY, died Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston, MO.

Born September 21, 1938 in Savannah, Georgia, to the late Otis Lamar Dye and Dorothy Windham Dye Solomon, she was raised in Savannah, GA and later moved to Paducah, Kentucky where she lived a number of years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Paducah. For over 50 years she was employed with South Central Bell Telephone Company beginning in Georgia and then in Paducah until her retirement.

Surviving is her son, David James (Colleen) Winkler; her daughter, Donna Marie Ballard; grandchildren, James Winkler, Stephanie (Zach Shinall) Winkler and Ashley Ballard (Josh)Trimue; great grandchildren, Connor Trimue, Carter Trimue, Corbin Trimue, Rylan Trimue, Addy Trimue, Madison Myers, Natalee Passley and Ridley Shinall-Winkler; great great grandson, Hudson Meeks; her sister, Linda (Ray) Wright; nieces, Diane Snow and Pam Russell and nephew, Joe Wright; also great nieces, nephews and cousins survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Cynthia Renae Ballard Myers.

Family and friends may assemble for graveside services at 12:00 p.m., Friday, May 22, 2026, at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah, KY. Her daughter in law, Colleen Winkler, will officiate.

Interment will follow under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston, MO.
