Sandra Kay "Sandy" Schnell, 59, a native Texan, died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016 at Missouri Delta Medical Center. She was born August 13, 1957 in Sherman, Texas to the late Marvin and Eleanor (Lynch) Bransford. She moved to Sikeston about a year ago when her husband, David became the chef at Fox Haven Country Club. They had been together for 27 years and had previously lived in West Point, Mississippi and the St. Louis area. In addition to her husband, Chef David, she is survived by 1 daughter, Amber Stroter and her two grandsons, Bryar and Colton Gates all of Hillsboro; 1 step-son, Harley Schnell of Austin, Texas; 2 sisters, Vicky (Rodney) Reeder of Ocean Springs, Mississippi and Janie (David) Shaver of Jacksonville, Arkansas; one brother, Henry (Michelle) Bransford of Baytown, Texas; and her beloved four legged companion, Truffle. A celebration of her life will be held at 5:00 pm Saturday, Sept. 17 at El Tapitio Mexican Restaurant. Memorial contributions in her honor may be made to the American Heart Association.
