Sarah Jane Jones, age 67, of Sikeston, MO, died Friday, December 5, 2025, at the Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO.

Born December 11, 1957, at Sikeston, MO, to the late William Henry McCormick and Itell Isophine Mills McCormick, she had lived in Sikeston her entire life.  Sarah loved cooking shows, watching Little House on the Prairie.  She was a mom to everyone she met, sort of a community grandma. Sarah came from a large family and especially loved her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are her daughters, Amanda Melton and Lachelle Arnold both of Sikeston; her grandchildren, Kaedynce Webb, Sarah VanVickle and Kinley Freeman; her brothers and sisters, Shela Mays, Roger McCormick, Les McCormick, David McCormick, Terry McCormick, May Lasater, Debbie Arnold, Sherry Nash, Monica Nelson and Gladys Lieurance. Also, a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Cecil McCormick, May Lasater, Della Grainger, William McCormick and Lana Jean Howze.

The family will have a private service.

McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
