Scotty Leroy Hicks, 46, a life long resident of this area, died at his home Saturday, June 4, 2016. He was born May 16, 1970 in Sikeston to Frankie M. (Jones) Hicks and the late Jerry L. Hicks. He was a member of Canalou Baptist Church. He is survived by his mother, Frankie Hicks of the home; 2 brothers, Danny (Donna) Hicks of Sikeston and Sam (Lanetta) Hicks of Globe, Arizona; 4 sisters: Penny (Cliff) Beasley of Mascoutah, IL, Janie (Mike) Drews of Dexter, Donna (Chris) Fabey of Paducah, KY and Lori (David) Dickerson of Irondale. Also surviving are 1 aunt, Jo Coffman, 6 nieces, 6 nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Julie Hicks. Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 pm Monday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dewayne Coleman, pastor of Canalou Baptist Church officiating and burial will follow at Matthews City Cemetery.
