Sharron Ann Sweet Smith, age 82, of Sikeston, MO, died Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Daybreak Nursing Center in Miner, MO.

Born October 15, 1942, at Bertrand, MO, to the late James Edward Sweet and Bertha May Heckert Sweet, she had lived in Sikeston most of her life where she attended Life Church.  Sharron was employed for many years with the State of Missouri Department of Social Services until her retirement.

Over sixty years ago she was united in marriage to Luther Smith, Jr., and he survives of the home.

Also surviving is her son and daughter in law, Wayne and Doris Smith of Miner; her daughter and son in law, Lisa and John Spalding of Benton; her grandchildren, Bart (Jody) Smith, Emily (C.J.) Woolf and Katie (Brandon) Cruz; her great grandchildren, Parker Cruz, Sofia Cruz, Nolan Woolf, Clark Woolf, Jerry Smith and Zechariah Smith; also, a number of extended family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her great granddaughter, Freya Elizabeth Woolf, and her brother, James Edward "Jim" Sweet, Jr.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston. Her grandson, Bart Smith, and Pastor David Craig will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Smith, Parker Cruz, Brandon Cruz, Greg Shaver, Dean King and Fred Dodds.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Scholarship Fund at the Sikeston Elks Lodge, P.O. Box 931, Sikeston, MO 63801.
