Shelby Jean Little, age 82, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 9:15 pm at the Cotton Point Living Center in Matthews, MO.  She was surrounded by her loved ones as she was welcomed into the arms of her Savior.

Shelby was born in Providence, KY on September 14, 1942, to the late Aubrey Simpson and Christine Jenkins Simpson. She graduated from Crittenden County High School in May of

1960. On June 25, 1961, she married her High School sweetheart, Jewel Little, who survives of the home. Shelby was an avid fan and follower of Kentucky Wildcats Basketball.

She was the loving mother of two sons; Richard Alan Little, who preceded her in death in April 2003 and Charles "Chuck" Little from East Prairie, MO who survives.

Also surviving is her favorite daughter-in-law, Denise Weems Little of East Prairie, MO, her precious granddaughter, Decinda Little Howell and her husband Shane Howell of Charleston, MO; also, her great-grandson, Tarek Howell, who was "her boy" and lit up her whole world. Shelby is also survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Betty Little of Marion, KY, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and son, Shelby was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Debbie Simpson and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dennis and Bonnie Little.

She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Marion, KY. Upon moving to East Prairie, Shelby attended Full Gospel Church.

Visitation will be at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY on Friday, June 13 from 5:00-8:00pm with funeral services Saturday, June 14 at 11:00am with Bro. Kirk Greenfield, Pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church and Pastor Eric McGruder, Pastor of Full Gospel Church officiating.

Interment will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Marion, KY, under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home.
