On March 15, 2022, Sherrel Presson peacefully departed this world and entered his eternal home.
He was greeted by his Savior and loving wife of 56 Years.

Sherrel was born October 20,1931 in East Prairie, Missouri to the late Rev. Paul Presson and Pearl Pritchett Presson.
In addition to his parents, Sherrel was greeted into heavens gates by his wife Joyce Smith Presson, sister Paula Presson Barker and infant son Milton Presson.

Known best as pawpaw to those whom loved him and continue to cherish his memory are daughter Sherrelyn (Lonnie) Davis of Conover, North Carolina: granddaughter Susan (Ben) Holton of Hickory, North Carolina, his pride and joy, fun loving, great grandson Davis Holton of Hickory, North Carolina, and sister Carolyn Presson Godwin of Shreveport, Louisiana.
Sherrel was a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews.

He had a special friend, caregiver and travel partner the last thirteen years, Marlene Dunaway of Dexter, NY
Many lifetime friends including Frank and Imogene Hanor, of East Prairie, Missouri and George and Linda Wallace of Nashville, Tennessee

Sherrel served his country in the United States Air Force 1951-1955 during the Korean War where he received the National Defense Service Medal.

He worked as a sales representative for several companies selling optical supplies including eye glass frames and retired selling tape to manufacturers.

Sherrel's love for his family knew no end, he was an avid outdoorsman and sporting enthusiast who enjoyed trap shooting, hunting, fishing and traveling to River Ranch, Florida each winter in his motor home pulling his jeep and fishing boat.

He was a devoted friend to many and enjoyed his daily breakfast with the guys at Ruby's Kitchen at Mason's in Goodlettsville, Tennessee

It's no secret to those that knew Sherrel best, he always had an opinion on everything.
Another secret is he always had a sweet tooth and never refused a cookie, brownie, cake or pie.

Sherrel Presson was faithful in his attendance every Sunday at Church and attending Wednesday morning Bible studies.
He was interested in learning more about God's word, biblical history, and enjoyed his fellowship with his church family.

He loved a good joke, his smile and laughter would light up the room.

Although his family, friends, and neighbors have broken hearts we know he is at HOME rejoicing.
