Sherry Mae Ivie-Wright Bost, age 66, died Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at her home near Sikeston.

Sherry was born March 1, 1956, at Henderson, KY, to Joseph Harold Ivie and Barbara Lou Gamblin Ivie and had lived in the Sikeston area a number of years.  Sherry loved her family, her work, and was a firm believer in God. She had served as the kitchen manager of several area restaurants, most recently at the Sandy Ridge in East Prairie. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Morehouse.

On November 10, 2007, she married Kenneth Ray Bost, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are her children, Donnie Wayne (Marti) Ivie of Scott City, Micheal Ann (Mike) Tidwell of Matthews, Carrie Jo Stewart of Sikeston, Shelly Renee (Blake) Jones of East Prairie, Michael Jason (Brandi) Wright of Branson and Kenan Bost of California; twelve grandchildren, Ashton, Sierra, Abby, Brooklynn, Peyton, Katie, Chevy, Mason, Axle, Harper-mae, Kaylee, and Tyler; and three great grandchildren; also, her brother, Ronnie (Tammy) Ivie of Lilbourn and her sister, Diane (Tony) Polley of Colorado.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James Ivie.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 11, 2022, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston. Rev. Jerry Chaney, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church in Morehouse will officiate. Eulogists will be Blake Jones and Brooklynn Wright.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Peyton Wright, Donnie Ivie, Blake Jones, Kenan Bost, Michael Wright, and Ashton Tidwell.

Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, MO, under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.
