Shirley Stallings Anderson, age 90, of Charleston, MO, died Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Ratliff Nursing Center in Cape Girardeau, MO.
Born January 11, 1936, at Charleston, MO, to the late Marshall Oliver Stallings and Nellie Kathryn Feezor Stallings, her entire world revolved around creating a warm, loving home. Shirley’s dedication to her family was limitless. She loved unconditionally, gave selflessly, and taught those around her the true meaning of devotion. Her legacy of warmth, laughter, and fierce love will live on forever in the fields of Stallings Farm and in the hearts of her family.
On August 31, 1956, she married William Glenn “Bill” Anderson, who preceded her in death, March 22, 2012.
Shirley is survived by her son, Tony (Martha) Anderson; her daughter, Kathy (Blake) Miller; five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, Josh (Lindsay) Miller - Jackson and Kylie; Kate (Mark) Dunaway - Ellie Jane and Emmaline; Ashley (Grayson) Terral - Charlotte, Camille, and William; Ainsley (Stephen) Sherman - Tripp and Walter; Claire (William) Newton - Caroline and Molly Morgan. Shirley is also survived by one brother, Floyd (Marilyn) Stallings of Charleston and a sister, Carol (Joe) Knudson of Springfield; her brother-in-law, Delbert Pruitt of Paducah, Ky and her sister-in-law, Cora Sue Stallings of Charleston; also, a number of nieces, nephews and their families.
In addition to her husband and parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her brother, Martin Stallings and three sisters: Ruth Moore, Evelyn Pruitt, and Mary Drummond.
A private family service will be held with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston, MO.
Interment will follow under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.
Pallbearers will be Josh Miller, Jackson Miller, Mark Dunaway, Mark Stallings, Bart Stallings and Justin Cook.
