SHIRLEY ANN CROOK, age 62, of Charleston, MO passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO.

SHIRLEY ANN MARKS CROOK was born, May 19, 1958, in Peoria, IL to the union of Grover and Katherleen Marks. The family moved to Mounds, IL in 1963. Shirley attended Douglas Grade School and High Meridian, in Mounds, IL. After graduation, Shirley married Thomas Crook and moved to Charleston, MO. To this union, was born Mcshawn of Sikeston, MO, Selina of Charleston, MO, and Robin of Charleston, MO.

Shirley confessed in Christ at an early age and joined New Bethel Baptist Church in Mounds, IL and she served as a choir member for many years. After moving to Charleston, MO, Shirley joined St. Matthews M.B. Church, where she became a member of the choir for a while.

Shirley was preceded in death by her brother, Alphonso G. Marks and her parents, Grover and Katherleen Marks, sister-in-law Juanita-Ellis Marks.

Shirley leaves to cherish her memories her children, Mcshawn, Selina and Robin and all her beautiful grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters, Alice (Wardell) Levy of Mounds, IL and Dorothy (Cleodious) Schoffner of Pulaski, IL; five brothers, Richmond (Mary) Marks, of Nashville, TN, Lawrence Marks of Mounds, IL, William H. Marks of Peoria, IL, Lee (Veneda) Marks of Murphysboro, IL, and Isiah (Anita) Marks of Mounds, IL and a host of nieces and nephews as well as other relatives.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1 p.m., Saturday, December 5, 2020 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Rev. Floyd Wade will officiate.
