Shirley Jean Naile Eldridge

Shirley Jean Naile Eldridge, age 81, of Bertrand, died Sunday, March 3, 2024, at the Delta South Nursing Center in Sikeston.

Born August 31, 1942, at Hayti, MO, to the late Aubrey Estel Naile and Helen Hampton Naile, she had lived in Bertrand most of her life and attended the First Baptist Church.   She was a retired truck driver.

On May 18, 1958, she married Paul Dean Eldridge, who preceded her in death May 19, 2018.

Surviving are her sons, Bobby (Pam) Eldridge of Sikeston and Richard Paul Eldridge of Richardson, TX; her grandchildren, Juliann, Brandon, Christin, Seth and Elizabeth; great grandchildren, Peter, Emerson, Ezra, William, Kate, Aamiyah and Macyn; her brothers and sisters, Jerry Don Naile, Charles Naile, Danny Naile, David Naile, Gary Naile and Larry Ray Naile; her sisters, Judy Naile Brown and Sandy Naile Alberson; also, a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jenna Marie; her brothers, Thomas Glen Naile and Manuel Aubrey Naile and her sister, Peggy Jo Lane.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at noon, Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.  Rev. Gerald Collier will officiate.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
