SHIRLEY ANN OWENS, age 67, a resident of Charleston, died Friday, November 30, 2018, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born December 12, 1950 in St. Mary, PA to Francis "Butch" and Audrey C. Dinsmore Bauer. She lived in St. Mary until 1973 when she moved to Charleston where she had worked as a bartender at the V.F. W. Post # 4294, and then as a cashier at Boomland, Pilot Flying J Travel Center, and Flag Stop. She was a devout fan of Charleston Basketball and loved sports in general.
On June 16, 1973 she married Edward E. Owens, Jr. who survives of Charleston.
Also surviving are two sons, Edward E. "Butch" (Nikki) Owens III of Webb City and J.B. (Suanne) Owens of East Prairie; one brother, Todd Bauer, and one sister, Stacie Olewnik, both of St. Mary, PA; also two granddaughters, Molly Owens and Charlotte Owens both of Webb City.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 3, 2018, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the McMikle Funeral Home where the Funeral Service will be conducted at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2018. Chad Bles, pastor of Terra Nova Church in Sikeston, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
