SHIRLEY JEAN TERRELL HESTER, Age 61, died at 1:45 p.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at her home in Wyatt.
Born December 11, 1947, near Wyatt, Missouri to Ruth Juanita Pierce Terrell who survives of Wyatt and the late John Bernard "J.B." Terrell. She had lived in Charleston most of her life where she was employed at the Brown Shoe Company a number of years. She was a member of the New Covenant Pentecostal Holiness Church in Wyatt.
On April 22, 1988, she married James Hester, who survives of the home.
Also surviving are: two sons, John Lance Hart and Larry Joseph Hart both of Charleston; one step-daughter, Melissa Jean Hester Sweet of Charleston; two sisters and brothers in law, Bernita and Kenneth Gibson of Wyatt and Penny And James O'Guin of Charleston; two grandchildren, Brittany Faire and Justin Hart both of Charleston; one great grandchild, Drew Faire of Charleston; one nephew, Aaron Gibson of Dallas, Tx., and one niece, Faith Brown of Charleston. Also a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 24, 2009 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 25, 2009. Rev. Kenneth Gibson, her brother in law and pastor of the New Covenant Holiness Church in Wyatt, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be: Dave Manker, Donald Ashworth, Aaron Gibson, Phil Rowland, Michael Dowdy, Maxwell Sweet and David Marshall.
