Obituary

Sisha Washer Fish, 53, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away on January 15, 2026, after an extended illness at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Sisha was born on May 9, 1972, in Orlando, Florida to Jerald Washer and Sandra Parker. Throughout her childhood, she moved across the midwest. She met her husband in Jacksonville, Florida. They then settled for the next 30 years in Vidalia, Georgia to raise their family. She was a wonderful mother and spent many years raising her children and being the "loudest" mom in the stands at baseball and soccer games, even stepping in as coach on occasion. She was an artist at heart and enjoyed music, painting, and reading the spiritual word. Little things brought her great joy, such as finding a new knickknack to add to her collection. Sisha was spirited and outspoken, but she enjoyed helping others and offered shelter and assistance to many blood relatives and friends along the way. She spent over 35 years married to her husband who passed in the last year after a battle with cancer. They lived in Vidalia, Georgia for over 30 years before relocating to Kentucky to retire.

She is survived by her daughter, Danielle Fish (Mathew Spinks) of Kathleen, Georgia; her son, Andrew Fish of Benton, Kentucky; one grandchild, Machaia Morton of Vidalia, Georgia; two great-grandsons; her brother Donald Deal of Jackson County, Florida; her brother Charles Washer (Nicole) of Cedar Crossing, Georgia; her sister Lacy Blain of Missouri; her mother-in-law Christine Fish Goodwin (Donald) of Dunlap, Tennessee; close family friend Colby Cartrette of Vidalia, Georgia; several step-siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews, and other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leeman Fish; her mother, Sandra Parker; her father, Jerald Washer; and her sister, Mattisa Washer.

A graveside service will be held in Charleston, Missouri on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 1:00 PM at IOOF Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held in Vidalia, Georgia at a later date.

McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
